Rod Stewart has serious competition in Darren Criss and the Warblers: the Glee stars have just released a brand new cover of Stewart’s classic, “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” off their upcoming Warblers-only album, dropping April 19.
The 13-track compilation will feature most Warbler hits, like “Teenage Dream” and “Raise Your Glass,” along with the Stewart cover.
If you’re saving up for a rainy day, then perhaps March 8 will be the rainy day you’re looking for. That’s because Glee: The Music: Volume 5 will be available for purchase that day, bringing 16 new tracks to Gleeks around the world.
Judging from the list, upcoming songs include “Kiss” and “Landslide” (both making an appearance during the Gwyneth Paltrow episode, “Sexy”). “Loser Like Me” and “Get It Right” close out the latest album and both songs offer something that Glee does best: Pop energy and Lea Michele (Rachel). “Loser Like Me” is an ensemble song co-written by Max Martin (Britney Spears, P!nk), while “Get It Right” will be a “moving ballad” performed by Lea. The original songs will be performed in the March 15 episode.
Glee: The Music: Volume 5 will feature the following:
1. Thriller / Heads Will Roll
2. Need You Now
3. She’s Not There
4. Fat Bottomed Girls
5. P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
6. Firework
7. Baby
8. Somebody To Love
9. Take Me Or Leave Me
10. Sing
11. Don’t You Want Me
12. Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)
13. Kiss
14. Landslide
15. Get It Right
16. Loser Like Me
If you’ve already listened to Glee’s Super Bowl songs approximately a gajillion times (like us), you’re probably ready for something new. Well, it’s your lucky day! Glee has released samples from “Silly Love Songs.”
Check out Kevin McHale (Artie) singing “P.Y.T.”; Lea Michele (Rachel) belting out “Firework”; Mark Salling and Cory Monteith (Puck and Finn) covering “Fat Bottom Girls”; and more! Of course, they’re all awesome.
We’ve heard about the Glee “Thriller”/”Heads Will Roll” mash-up from the Super Bowl episode for months, but now we finally get to hear it.
PopEater has debuted the song and it’s gotta be the best thing we’ve heard in a month. If you were worried that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Michael Jackson wouldn’t make beautiful music together, you were wrong. It’s amazing!
